omg. this place is amazing. too bad they wouldn't let us take pictures inside the museum. live music, good food and the garden - not sure if i've seen a nicer garden in my life. ok, maybe i have at Versailles or Vaux-le-Vicomte. but for boston this garden can't be beat. that old lady knew what she was doing. the whole place is a giant greenhouse and is kept at a constant temperature of 70 degrees which is almost as amazing as the garden and the art pieces themselves considering how large the place is. oh, and they're building a new wing designed by no other than renzo piano (one of my fav architects) himself next door to increase the space for the museum. will be interesting to see how the old (old by US standards = 100 years) and the incredibly new and modern architecture of renzo piano co-exist.
