May 22, 2008 : Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

was pretty awesome although mostly for nostalgic reasons than the movie itself.  i don't know, it's probably because i'm older now, but it didn't feel as magical and exotic as the previous indiana jones movies.  it's just a good fun time movie - nothing deep or particularly exciting.  the fight scenes are funny and not expected to be taken seriously and at no point was i at the edge of my seat.  the only exciting part of the movie was walking home at 3am after the midnight showing and worrying about getting mugged as we walked through the park back to our apartment.
