going here tomorrow with our friends. haven't been camping for a while so should be fun. we're scheduled for level 4 rafting, the scale being from 1-6 where 6 is the roughest so hopefully we won't all die.
went to the HSPH annual party. same place as last year. the food is just ok but the good looking servers in short shorts and tight t-shirts make up for it.
took a bit of wrangling but we were able to get a new bike. the person at customer service had a lot of attitude and acted all powerful, but in my mind i was like, chill - you work at target. plus you sold my bike by mistake.
but now i'm the proud owner of a brand new mountain bike (they didn't have any more road bikes *sniff). for a month, that is, which is how long we're staying in boston before getting outta here.
i took my bike to get a flat tire replaced at this target, but the fools sold it by mistake! going now to go get a refund or a new bike.
awesome food as always. so glad this is right next to our apartment! there was a huuuge crowd tonight - some end of school party of sorts and one of them decided to regale the entire restaurant with her not-so-nice singing and provided mild amusement for us all.
was pretty awesome although mostly for nostalgic reasons than the movie itself. i don't know, it's probably because i'm older now, but it didn't feel as magical and exotic as the previous indiana jones movies. it's just a good fun time movie - nothing deep or particularly exciting. the fight scenes are funny and not expected to be taken seriously and at no point was i at the edge of my seat. the only exciting part of the movie was walking home at 3am after the midnight showing and worrying about getting mugged as we walked through the park back to our apartment.
fun little party. the venue was really cute - it was a design office with nice gadgets and cool furniture.
celebrated colette's last day of classes with sami. so proud of her. oh, and the dessert was pretty spectacular.
omg. this place is amazing. too bad they wouldn't let us take pictures inside the museum. live music, good food and the garden - not sure if i've seen a nicer garden in my life. ok, maybe i have at Versailles or Vaux-le-Vicomte. but for boston this garden can't be beat. that old lady knew what she was doing. the whole place is a giant greenhouse and is kept at a constant temperature of 70 degrees which is almost as amazing as the garden and the art pieces themselves considering how large the place is. oh, and they're building a new wing designed by no other than renzo piano (one of my fav architects) himself next door to increase the space for the museum. will be interesting to see how the old (old by US standards = 100 years) and the incredibly new and modern architecture of renzo piano co-exist.

convenient. close to the T. food was good, would go back again.
can't wait!!

Napolean's sword. The real thing.
